On the one hand Iran is becoming surrounded by American influence and troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and the Persian Gulf and on the other hand they expect to have considerable influence in Iraq due to the Shiite majority. Lately they have developed arrangements with India and Turkey and Russia etc. Keep an eye on developments.
